St. Andrews

LOCAL WEATHER
.
The St Andrews course was opened in April 1913, and while originally an inland links style course, today it is more picturesque with some holes bordering the mighty Waikato River. None more so the challenging par 5 fourth hole, a short dogleg giving the player many options on the drive and second shot, but the river is always lurking to catch the wayward shot.

Our most renown would have to be the par 3 18th. While protected by bunkers surrounding the green that catch any shot lacking in direction and distance, it's the 2.8 metre deep front bunker that's most intimidating.

St Andrews of Hamilton has proudly hosted numerous top amateur & professional events, including open championships prior to 1980, Men's & Women's National Amateur events, the 32nd Queens Sirikit Cup in 2010 and the annual Brian Perry Classic Pro-Am,
